Surat :  Morari Bapu, a revered spiritual leader and proponent of the Ramcharitmanas, has sent festive wishes to the people of India in the spirit of the upcoming Diwali and New Year festivities.

On the joyous holidays of Diwali and the New Year, Morari Bapu sent his best wishes to everyone and encouraged them to follow the path of light. Morari Bapu imparted insightful words of wisdom, quoting from the Rig Veda, on the importance of light in our life.

Agni (fire) is invoked as the bringer of light in the first verse of the Rig Veda with the words “Agnimie purohitam.” In the words of Morari Bapu, “the Upanishad mantra ‘Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya’ invites us to go away from darkness, signifying ego, vices, and ignorance, and towards the enlightening light.

Morari Bapu said that the celebration of Diwali represents the victory of light over darkness since it occurs on Amavasya, a moonless night. He urged people to seek spiritual enlightenment above fame, fortune, and power.

He knelt at the feet of Lord Hanuman and prayed for everyone’s happiness and enthusiasm.

Expressing concern for world well-being, Morari Bapu sincerely prayed for the end of all conflicts, realising the terrible loss of innocent lives.

India is the home of great seers and teachers like the Buddha, Rama, and Krishna. With the belief that “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” (the world is one family), he said, “let our great country embody the spirit of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ and spread the values of happiness, integrity, and purity to promote harmony and peace throughout the world.”
